BACKGROUND On
September 18, 2004, the Virginia Conservation Network joined with the Piedmont
Environmental Council for a special gathering
of Virginia's environmental community in Barboursville, Virginia. Virginia
Lieutenant Governor Tim Kaine was among elected officials in attendance, and responded
to the Reconnecting Virginia presentation.
